Microsoft Certified Professional
Developer: Web Developer
The Microsoft Certified Professional Developer: Web Developer (MCPD:
Web Developer) certification demonstrates that you have the
comprehensive skills required to build interactive, data-driven Web
applications using ASP.NET 2.0 for both intranet and Internet uses.
How to Earn Your MCPD: Web Developer
MCPD: Web Developer candidates must first complete the
requirements for the
MCTS: .NET Framework 2.0 Web Applications
credential (two exams). After earning this certification, candidates
may earn their MCPD: Web Developer by passing one additional
required exam.
If you are a Microsoft Certified Application Developer (MCAD), you
can upgrade to the MCPD: Web Developer certification by taking one
upgrade exam. You do not need to obtain the MCTS prerequisite
credential if you take the upgrade exam.
The table below provides a complete list of exams and related
training resources. For exam dates and specific areas of focus, see
individual Exam Preparation Guides as the exams become available.
