The Microsoft Certified Professional Developer: Windows Developer (MCPD:
Windows Developer) certification demonstrates that you have the
comprehensive skills required to build rich client applications
targeting the Windows Forms platform using .NET Framework 2.0.
How to Earn Your MCPD: Windows Developer
MCPD: Windows Developer candidates must first complete the
requirements for the
MCTS: .NET
Framework 2.0 Windows Applications certification (two
exams). After achieving this certification, candidates can earn
their MCPD: Windows Developer by passing one additional exam.
If you are a Microsoft Certified Application Developer (MCAD), you
can upgrade to the MCPD: Windows Developer certification by taking
one upgrade exam. You do not need to obtain the MCTS prerequisite
credential if you take the upgrade exam.
