Enterprise
Search - Building and
Implementing Enterprise Search Solutions
Three-day—Instructor-led

Course
Description
Enterprise Search from Microsoft empowers people to find information and
expertise anywhere in the organization. It enables IT professionals to
manage, secure, scale, and extend search as an integrated part of a
broader information management infrastructure. This training is your
opportunity to learn how to build, implement, and manage an Enterprise
Search Solution using SharePoint® products and technologies.
This
three-day training provides an in-depth look at and hands-on experience
of key enterprise search capabilities in Microsoft® Office SharePoint®
Server 2007. It provides 400 level training on how to synthesize
SharePoint products and technologies, in order to build, implement and
manage Enterprise Search solutions for customers. This training focused
on Enterprise Search is the deeper follow-up SharePoint training to the
SharePoint Server boot camps.
The
course uses labs facilitated by an instructor, which are more free-form
instead of step-by-step. This gives the students greater flexibility but
also requires active participation. Hence, the attendees should not
expect a completely scripted, step-by-step workshop.
Audience
This
course is intended for SharePoint farm and site collection
administrators, developers, search professionals, and consultants who
need to know how to build and implement enterprise search solutions.
Prerequisites
Students
should have deep understanding of Windows SharePoint Services V3 and
Microsoft office SharePoint Server 2007 along with experience
implementing the latest version of SharePoint products and technologies.
It is recommended that attendees should have attended a SharePoint
Server Boot Camp or acquired equivalent 300-level expertise on Office
SharePoint Server 2007 before coming to the training. The courses
which serve as pre-requisites for this class are 5060 (Implementing WSS
3.0) and 5061 (Implementing MOSS 2007)
