Class Time: Day
Classes begin at 9:00 a.m. and
end at 4:30 p.m. Your Instructor may adjust
these times based on course materials and class
flow. On your first day of class we suggest you
arrive 10 -15 minutes prior to class start time. This
will allow time to check-in, meet your Learning
Solutions Specialist, get a cup of coffee and get
settled in your classroom. If you join us
online, please sign on 10-15 mintues prior to make
you have successfully connected. Please click
here to
view our LivE connection tutorial if you haven't
done so.
Attire: We want your learning experience to
be as comfortable as possible so dress code is
casual.
Breaks: Breaks are scheduled based on student
and instructor need. Help yourself to coffee, tea,
water and snacks throughout the day.
Questions: The only silly question is the one
you do not ask. Asking questions helps you
understand and reinforces the material. If the
question doesn’t apply to the class, your Instructor
may take your question off-line while doing
everything possible to get an answer for you before
the end of your class.
Lunch: We schedule an hour for lunch break.
There are several restaurants in the immediate area,
just ask one of our employees and they will direct
you. You may also wish to bring your own lunch and
store it in our refrigerator. We have a café area
with tables and chairs as well as a beautiful pond
out front of our facility with benches.
Phone Calls and Messages: We know when you
are in class; you may still need to keep in touch
with your office. Courtesy phones are available in
our conference rooms. Wi-Fi is available anywhere in
the facility. Please ask front desk for the
passcode.
Cell Phone: As a courtesy to other students
in class, please turn your cell phone or pager off
or to vibrate. If you do receive a call and need to
take it, please step outside your classroom so as
not to disrupt the flow of the class.
Class Attendance: A certificate is awarded
for attendance at the end of each class as specified
by vendor requirements. Please return from breaks
and lunch in a timely fashion, because most courses
are packed tightly with important information - we
would hate for you to miss anything.
Comments and Concerns: Our core value is
creating a positive student experience. We know that
you are the best judge of whom we are, where we are
going and what we need to improve. From our
classroom equipment and office layout, to our
flexible schedule - you influence everything. We
want to know if we can enhance your experience in
any way. Please share your thoughts and ideas with
us when completing the class evaluation.
Your thoughts are always welcome, so if you do not
want to wait until the end of class, there are a
couple of avenues available. You could: share your
thoughts with any Solartech employee or if you don't
want to miss any class time, email us at
info@solartechnj.com and we are happy to
assist you.
Classroom Policy: Audio or video recording
equipment is not allowed in class, as it is a
violation of our vendor agreements to permit
recording of course lectures and exercises.
Parking: There is plenty of available parking
outside of our building.
