Solartech Kicks Off
Microsoft Skills Week in New York City and Online
New York, New York — February 20, 2009 — Solartech, a Microsoft
managed and Gold Certified Partner for Learning Solutions (CPLS),
announced it will host a series of events both at the Microsoft New York
City office and online on March 9th during Microsoft
Skills Week (March 9th to March 13th). Microsoft
Learning General Manager of Worldwide Sales and Marketing,
Chris Pirie,
Solartech CEO, Victor Liang, and other Microsoft certified IT
professionals will be at these events.
Microsoft Skills Week is Microsoft’s initiative to help IT professionals
and developers better position themselves during the difficult economic
climate and also help employers to validate existing employees’
capabilities.
“Microsoft is delighted to work with Solartech to extend technical
skills development and validation through high-quality learning
solutions,” said Lutz Ziob, general manager, Microsoft Learning. “The
relationships Solartech builds with customers allow businesses of all
kinds to reach their full potential and realize the maximum value of
their technology investments.” These Microsoft Skills Week events will
allow IT professionals and companies to find out how they can develop
their skills to reduce costs, drive productivity, and increase
competitiveness in challenging economic times; and what Microsoft is
doing to help them achieve these goals.
“As an IT employer, we strongly believe vendor certification is the
best way to validate IT employees’ skills. Microsoft’s new
certification program not only makes certification more relevant to job
roles, but its new lab based test also bridges the gap between testing
and real world skills,” said Victor Liang, CEO, Solartech.
“Certifications will help employers find talent and allows employees to
identify their expertise.
